Backstroke is one of the baby sea ponies featured in My Little Pony: Escape From Catrina
Appearance in the special Escape from Catrina[]
Backstroke only appeared in Escape from Catrina, she was shown playing and splashing with Baby Moondancer as the others played volleyball. She was worried when when Baby Moondancer was accidentally knocked into the water but happy when the adult sea ponies rescued her.
Later on at the costume ball that night the adult sea ponies sang dressed like a dream as all the little ponies and baby ponies came down wearing ponywear. Backstroke then began playing and splashing with Baby Surprise as she came down in her costume.

Backstroke is a pink baby sea pony, she had orange hair and has an aqua fish float
Merchandise[]
Backstroke was released in 1985 as one of the six baby sea ponies, her pose is named after her, she is the only one of her set to appear in escape from Catrina, though Surf Rider and Sea Shimmer would both appear in the main series.
